Magic Lantern is currently developing eGames Chess, a 3D chess product, to be published by eGames. Chess will feature multiple full-3D pieces and boards. You can select to play against a wide array of computer opponents, from the rather spaced-out Ian Woodstock to the pocket-protector-wearing Dexter Crick. Players can also challenge their friends via Internet play. The title also features several tutorial modes plus a speed-chess option. Look for eGames chess in a store near you this fall!
Magic Lantern has partnered with New Game, Inc. (a Galesburg, IL based educational game company founded by Chuck Frick) to create software versions of two exciting card games. Ten is a game that challenges the player to play cards to "build" the number ten from a building block card. The game teaches strategic thinking, math skills and pattern recognitions. Give Me Five is a faster-paced game primarily created for younger player in which players work to build the number 5.
