Magic Lantern is located in the small, scenic town of Monmouth, Illinois, right on the town square.

Monmouth is located three hours southwest of Chicago and four hours northeast of St. Louis. It is a town of 9,500 that is stable, quiet and a wonderful place to live. Monmouth is also the home of Monmouth College, a nationally acclaimed liberal arts college and is only 15 minutes away from Knox College, another nationally acclaimed college. Monmouth is known as the "Maple City" because of the thousands of maple trees lining its streets. And, as everyone knows, it's the birthplace of Wyatt Earp.

Monmouth is one of the nicest places to live you can imagine--peaceful country roads, good schools, low crime and you can ride your bike anywhere. Add to that a cost-of-living that's astoundingly low, solid access to technology, a close proximity to culture, great outdoor activities (great camping--the Mississippi is only 10 minutes away), plus the best steaks anywhere in the world. (Don't get us started about the T-bones at Club 41!).
